Christ the Light
Thanks be to God.

For this is
the Eternal Light
that cannot be overcome.
The light that unites us
with all who rejoice
in Christ as Saviour.
The light that is new
and yet has been burning                                                                                                                                         In the hearts of the Saints
who have gone before us on the path of glory,
the narrow way that opens out
into a crystal mystery.
The light that heals                                                                                                                                                   the world’s worst pierced wounds.
The light that beings hope and joy
and leads all to say Christ is Risen.
Let Alleluia always be our life-long song:                                                                                                                 in the wonder of our words
in the beauty of our lives
in the joyous surrender of our hearts
Let the Risen Christ be found.
