Blessing of a Marriage following a Civil Ceremony or after a Marriage Service in another country. Or married couples who wish to renew their marriage promises.

Some people who marry abroad would like to celebrate their marriage in their parish church, others who have been married in a Registry Office may later feel the need for a Blessing in Church. In this parish couples who have been married and divorced are warmly invited to consider this Service of Blessing.

There is a beautiful Order of Service in the Marriage Service Book and there are some options to choose between. These are offered here at St Peter’s.

We do not charge any fees for the church except for the organist but invite a donation to the work of our parish. For further details or to have an informal discussion please contact the church via the details on the home page.

Grant your blessing we pray for “           “ and “           “
that in marriage they may be a source of blessing to each other
and to all and live together in holy love.
(One of the prayers from the Order of Service)
