For the beauty of the sun, clear in the sky;
and for the stillness of the moon guiding our way:
Praise to you Creator King.

For the beauty of summer, its days long and slow;
and for the joy of visiting family and friends:
Praise to you Creator King.

For the beauty of the garden when the leeks grow well;
and for the flowering fruit trees, full of Autumn promise:
Praise to you Creator King

For the beauty of green pastures;
and for the heather with its deepening purple haze:
Praise to you Creator King.

For the beauty of the berries at harvest time;
and for the fat grains on the waving stalks:
Praise to you Creator King,

For the beauty of the fish in the bright lake;
and for the play of light on the shimmering waters.
Praise to you Creator King.

For the beauty of true companions
to share the bread of their table
and the wine of their rejoicing:
Praise to you Creator King

For the skill of music makers,
and for the songs of the cuckoo and nightingale:
Praise to you Creator King

For the beauty of God’s word;
and for the joy of repentance
and the welcoming of God’s healing grace:
Praise to you Creator King.

For the wonder of all our celebrations,
and for the privilege of bringing gifts to God’s altar:
Praise to you Creator King.

Most beautiful of all:
to be found doing the Lord’s work
at the coming of Christ on the Day of the Lord;
when all shall be gathered in by Christ
and we will join all creation to sing the praises of our Creator King.
