Welcome to St Peters - here's some information for visitors to our Church

Picture
We are always pleased to welcome both visitors and newcomers to the church or to the area.

On a Sunday

Our 8.00am Eucharist has no singing and some silence - it lasts about 30 minutes.

Our 10.00am Eucharist is Sung. There is also provision for school age children in the Community Hall next door to the Church. Children and teachers come and join the rest of the Church at Holy Communion time. Everyone is invited to come to the Altar for a blessing. There are also activity bags for the children who stay in church throughout the service.

You will be handed a Service sheet that has the readings and hymns printed out. In the seats there are Service cards containing  the congregational part of the Eucharist.

At the end of both services - A weekly Newsletter is handed out. There is also a leaflet available about our church and its activities.

People come to church for all kinds of reasons you will always be welcomed but we will also respect your privacy.

Weekday Eucharists

The Wednesday 10:15am is a said service and is followed by a Charity Coffee morning in the Community Hall next door. Everyone is welcome to come and chat over Coffee.

Eucharist & Compline in the week- is often in the Choir stalls and is a 30minute service.

Open Doors –Every Saturday the church is open between 10.30am and midday for anyone to drop in - sit for a while, say a prayer, read or think ‘in peace’ or light a candle. Come for as long or short a time as you like.

If you would like to know more about the Christian Faith or our work in this area please contact us via the details on the home page.
